Micro Four Thirds lenses explained

The Micro Four Thirds system (MFT or M43) is a standard released by Olympus and Panasonic in 2008. The mount has a short flange focal distance of 19.25mm. Micro Four Thirds sensors have an aspect ratio of 4:3 (compared to the more common 3:2) and their size is 17.3 mm x 13 mm. Since the system has been around since 2008 there's a wide selection of lenses available, including by third-party manufacturers like Sigma, Voigtländer, Samyang, Venus Optics, 7artisans and others.
